  4.         HyperRez is suitable for classroom use.  Here's why:

  6.         (1)  The program can be distributed and used free of any royalties
  7.              to aid academic, business, and governmental pocketbooks.
  8.  
  9.         (2)  Hypertext construction requires only HyperRez and a word processor,
  10.              <link13>.  Runs on 256K B/W systems.
  11.  
  12.         (3)  Traditional approaches to classroom instruction (e.g., lectures)
  13.              work if all participates have identical levels of understanding,
  14.              interest, and desire for knowledge.  However, if differences exist
  15.              in these factors, the lectures are effective to only small
  16.              percentages of the participants.  <link47 training>

  18.         (4)  In reported tests, hypertext formats provide both better
  19.              comprehension and retention of complex information.

  21.         (5)  Building hypertext systems (semantic taxonomies <link30> to
  22.              represent conceptual dependencies) creates subject mastery
  23.              unmatched by other intellectual processes.  Those who create
  24.              hypertext will know the subject better than anyone eles.
